This notice explains how the Veil MVP handles content submitted through the free scam checker.
What Veil processes
When you run a check, Veil processes the message, email, or link you provide. That content may include personal information, so please remove anything the check does not need.
How the check works
Veil sends the submitted content to its configured AI provider and may check included links with a reputation service. These services help identify scam patterns, suspicious destinations, and safer next steps.
What Veil keeps
Veil does not save the raw message in assessment history. Veil may keep the resulting verdict, reason codes, processing status, and limited technical records needed to operate and secure the service. Service providers may maintain their own short-term security logs under their terms.
What not to submit
Do not paste passwords, one-time verification codes, complete payment-card numbers, government identification numbers, or information unrelated to the suspicious message.
Training and advertising
Veil does not sell submitted content or use it for advertising. The configured business API is not permitted to use submitted content to train its general models by default.
Waitlist information
If you join a paid-plan waitlist, Veil stores your mobile number in encrypted form with the plan you selected, your consent version, and timestamps. We use it only for the launch and access messages you requested. You can opt out by replying STOP or ask us to delete it.

This notice will evolve
Veil is still in private development. This notice will be expanded with regional rights, retention periods, and a complete provider list before public launch.
